Complete paving stones across Edmonton & region.

NorthCrest is a locally owned and operated Edmonton landscape studio specializing in paving stones across Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Beaumont, Leduc, Spruce Grove, and Fort Saskatchewan.

We take pride in providing professional, architect-led services and craftsmanship for every part of your project — from initial consultation to final walk-through.

The Studio Approach

Engineered for Alberta's freeze-thaw and designed to last decades.

Every paver installation starts with a properly engineered base — 6" of compacted crushed gravel, geotextile fabric, and a polymeric sand joint system. This is what separates a 5-year patio from a 30-year one. We use only European pavers from Techo-Bloc, Belgard, and Roman Stone — quarried for cold climates.

FAQ

Paving Stones questions, answered.

The most common questions our clients ask. Need more info? Reach out — we're glad to talk.

What types of paving stones do you offer?+

We offer hundreds of paver options from premium suppliers including Techo-Bloc, Belgard, Roman Stone, and Barkman. Common styles include modern smooth slabs, traditional cobblestone, weathered/tumbled, and large-format porcelain pavers.

How long does a paving stone installation take?+

Most residential paver patios (200-500 sq ft) take 5-10 working days. Larger projects with retaining walls or driveways can run 2-4 weeks. We provide an exact timeline with the proposal.

Do you handle drainage issues?+

Yes — every paver installation includes drainage planning. We grade to direct water away from your home, install drain tiles where needed, and use permeable jointing for surface drainage where applicable.

What is the warranty on paver installations?+

We offer a 5-year workmanship warranty on all paver installations, plus the manufacturer's warranty on the pavers themselves (typically 25+ years against structural defects).

How do I maintain my paver patio?+

Annual cleaning with a stiff brush and water, re-application of polymeric sand jointing every 3-5 years, and prompt removal of leaves/debris from joints. We offer maintenance packages — ask during your consultation.

Can you work in winter?+

We schedule paver projects April through October — that's Alberta's installation season. Projects can be planned and designed year-round, but actual installation requires above-freezing ground temperatures.
