Large-format porcelain, European pavers, or natural flagstone — laid on a 6" engineered base built for Alberta's freeze-thaw. The patio is where every other outdoor living element lives. We start here, with a foundation that's still flat in 30 years.

Fire Features
Natural-gas fire tables, masonry fireplaces, and architectural fire pits — engineered for year-round Edmonton evenings. We run gas lines, build CSA-compliant enclosures, and integrate the unit into the patio architecture so it feels deliberate, never bolted-on.

Outdoor Kitchens
Full outdoor kitchens with built-in grills, side burners, pizza ovens, refrigeration, and natural-stone counters. We frame in CMU block, clad in stone or porcelain, and rough-in gas, power, and water — turning a patio into your favourite room of the house from May to October.

Low-voltage architectural lighting designed in layers — path lights, uplit feature trees, wall-grazing on stone, and subtle step lights. An Outdoor Living project is a coordinated build that combines paver hardscape, fire features, an outdoor kitchen, architectural lighting, and shade structures into a single, designed space — typically as a flagship backyard renovation. We design and build the entire envelope together, so finishes, gas lines, drainage, and lighting all integrate cleanly.
What does a full Outdoor Living build cost in Edmonton?+
Most full Outdoor Living projects fall between $85,000 and $350,000+ in the Edmonton region, depending on patio size, structure complexity, and finish levels. A starter build (large patio + fire table + lighting) often lands in the $50k–$85k range. We provide a fixed proposal after the design phase.
Can you do this in stages?+
Yes — many clients build in phases over 2–3 seasons. We design the full master plan first, then execute the patio + structure in year one, the kitchen and lighting in year two, etc. This is the smartest way to spread investment without compromising the final result.
How long does a full build take?+
From signed proposal to walk-through, most full Outdoor Living projects run 6–12 weeks of active construction. Design typically takes 4–6 weeks. We schedule April through October, with bookings often filling by February.
Do you handle permits, gas, and electrical?+
Yes. Our team includes licensed gas fitters and we coordinate with Master Electricians and structural engineers as required. Permits, inspections, and CSA compliance are part of every Outdoor Living build.
What warranties do you offer?+
5-year workmanship warranty on all NorthCrest installations, plus the manufacturer warranties on appliances, fixtures, and pavers (typically 10–25 years). We also offer optional annual maintenance plans.
